Bank of England consolidated balance-sheet total
| Observation date | Value (gbp) |
|---|---|
| £855,389,000,000.00 |
United Kingdom: the Bank of England's consolidated balance-sheet total (total assets, equal to total liabilities and equity) at each calendar quarter end, from its quarterly consolidated balance sheet. The Bank publishes each quarter five quarters in arrears, so the latest value is normally 15 to 18 months old. The Asset Purchase Facility Fund is not consolidated: gilts bought for quantitative easing appear only as the Bank's loan to that fund, so this total is not comparable with Federal Reserve or Eurosystem asset totals. Source values in GBP millions are converted exactly to GBP. Available from September 2013; the earlier weekly Bank Return was compiled on a different basis and is not spliced on.
