Price data and limits

Requests read stored observations. Metal observations refresh hourly; they are not live quotes. Prices are indicative and are not executable trading prices.

Latest responses carry observation timestamps. History uses weekday closes and includes stored coverage; a five-year query limit does not guarantee five years of data. Missing or sparse history is possible. Currency conversion has its own timestamp and freshness limits. Currency conversion input: Exchange Rates By UniRateAPI.

Keep decimal values as strings to preserve precision. Read the price methodology, quota and rate limits and permitted uses before integrating.
