Usage increments after API-key and quota checks but before endpoint validation, so invalid date-range requests count. Requests rejected for a missing or invalid key, or because the quota is already exhausted, do not.
Pro is billed in USD ($9 per month). Enterprise is £299 GBP per month and arranged through contact sales. Annual billing is $90/year for Pro ($7.50 effective monthly; $18 saving) and £2,990/year for Enterprise (£249.17 effective monthly; £598 saving). Pro subscribers should contact sales to discuss Enterprise for commercial use.
Yes. Cancel from the dashboard at any time. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Within 14 days of the first payment on a new Pro subscription, you can request a full refund, whether that first payment is monthly or yearly. Later Pro renewals and unused time in a billing period are not automatically refunded, except where required by law or manually approved. Enterprise refunds are handled manually through contact sales. Your API keys remain valid at the Free tier limits after cancellation.
Requests beyond your monthly quota return 429 Too Many Requests with a Retry-After header. We never charge overage fees — you can either upgrade your plan or wait for the monthly reset on the first of each month.
There is no formal trial, but the Free plan (30 requests per month) is enough to evaluate the API for non-commercial use. Upgrade to Pro for higher-volume non-commercial use or contact sales for commercial use.

Gold prices are cached in our database and refreshed every hour by a scheduled job. API responses are served from that cache.
The /v1/central-bank-reserves endpoint is available on Pro and Enterprise. It uses annual World Bank, World Development Indicators data, whose underlying provider is International Monetary Fund, International Financial Statistics. The source data is available free of charge; Bullion API charges for caching, normalization, and delivery.
Commercial use is included with Enterprise. Free and Pro are for non-commercial use only. Raw data redistribution and resale are excluded from all standard plans.
